On January 8th, 2026, our world changed.
Amanda went to the ER thinking she had the flu. She was exhausted, weak, and just not feeling like herself. What we expected to be a simple visit turned into something far more serious when her lab work showed severe anemia.
Doctors began searching for the cause and referred her to a GI specialist. To rule out any underlying issues, the GI recommended a colonoscopy. During that procedure, everything shifted. The colonoscopy revealed a large mass — so large that they were unable to complete the exam because of its size. Amanda was officially diagnosed with colon cancer immediately after the procedure.
On January 20th, she underwent surgery to remove the mass. The surgery went well, though it was more extensive than originally anticipated. We were hopeful and praying for the best possible outcome.
After surgery, pathology confirmed Stage 3 colon cancer. One of her lymph nodes tested positive, meaning the cancer had begun to spread. Hearing those words was devastating. As her fiancé, watching her process that moment — and still choose strength — is something I will never forget.
Her oncologist has recommended six months of chemotherapy to reduce the risk of the cancer returning. Amanda is preparing to fight with everything she has.
Amanda is a stay-at-home mom to our three beautiful children. She is the heart of our home — the one who holds everything together. Our kids rely on her every day, and I am the sole provider for our family. Since her diagnosis, I’ve stepped into additional roles at home while also trying to keep up with work and mounting medical responsibilities.
The medical bills have already begun to pile up — from ER visits, testing, surgery, specialist appointments, and now ongoing oncology care. On top of that, there will be prescription costs, chemotherapy treatments, follow-up scans, and other cancer-related expenses that come with this journey.
We are starting this GoFundMe because so many people have asked how they can help. Any funds raised will go directly toward:
• Medical expenses
• Chemotherapy treatments
• Prescriptions
• Follow-up testing and scans
• Cancer-related supplies and recovery items
Most importantly, this support will allow Amanda to focus on healing — not on financial stress.
If you are not in a position to give, we completely understand. Sharing this page, praying for her, and sending words of encouragement mean more than you know.
Amanda is strong. She is faithful. She is determined. And she is not walking this road alone.
Thank you for standing with us during the hardest season of our lives. We believe in her fight, and we believe in the power of community.
With love and gratitude
Jordan
