Hello, my name is Amanda Dapaz, I've been here several times to help other people, unfortunately now this time it's for me! I have four children and I am both their mother and father, providing them with all emotional support. Even with other people helping, they still want there mother, I am using this campaign to ask for help so I can undergo emergency brain surgery to remove a malignant tumor. This is my story: in 2007 I had cervical cancer (uterine sarcoma). Because it was detected early, I underwent treatment and it was cured. In 2014, the cancer returned in my uterus (uterine sarcoma). I underwent all the treatments, but because it returned aggressively and chemotherapy and radiation treatments didn't help, I had to undergo emergency surgery to remove my cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. However, due to my fragile condition, the doctors only removed half of my uterus, one fallopian tube, and one ovary. I discovered years later that they hadn't removed everything. In 2021, I had another surgery and they removed everything. They did a lot of tests, and I had to continue having tests to monitor my condition. One test showed that my body had produced malignant cells; there is no cure, but there is treatment. In 2023, while I was on vacation... In Brazil, I started experiencing severe headaches that wouldn't go away. I returned to the United States before my vacation ended, and as soon as I arrived, I went straight to the hospital and was rushed in. They started running tests to find the cause. Days later, I was discharged and put on bed rest, and I was forbidden from driving because I couldn't see out of my right eye. Almost a week later, the doctor gave me the results: a malignant tumor on the right side of my head. My world collapsed, and fear has been a daily presence ever since. I underwent radiation, but I wasn't cured, and since then, my life has been spent more in the hospital than at home. Yesterday, I had a pain crisis and went to the hospital again. Since I don't have the money for the surgery I need to remove the tumor and receive treatment, I'm here asking for help so I can have the surgery and treatments here in Brazil.
