It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news: our beloved Amanda A. Kopic (Phelps) passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the age of 39, after a courageous but far too brief battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
Just weeks ago, Amanda was diagnosed with this aggressive form of blood cancer, compounded by venous sinus thrombosis—blood clots in the brain’s veins—that required emergency surgery. She fought with incredible strength, surrounded by the unwavering love of her devoted husband Alen and their two precious young sons, Nikolai (6) and Benjamin (3). Despite the best efforts of her medical team and the outpouring of support, Amanda’s light was taken from us much too soon.
Amanda was a loving wife, an adoring mother, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend. Her warmth, kindness, and fierce dedication to her family touched everyone who knew her. In this time of immense grief, her husband Alen and their two little boys are left to navigate life without her guiding presence.
The sudden loss has brought not only emotional devastation but also significant financial challenges, including final medical bills, funeral and memorial expenses, household costs, childcare needs, and the loss of income as the family focuses on healing and supporting the boys through this unimaginable time.
Service Details:
• Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at B.J. Meyer Sons Funeral Home, 5864 Bridgetown Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45248.
• Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. William Church, 4108 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45205.
