Hi — this is the family of our wild, strong-willed Amanda Sosa.
On the night of January 25, 2026, Amanda was a passenger in a severe car accident and had to be pried from her car before being rushed to the hospital. She sustained multiple serious injuries, including two broken femurs, more than five broken ribs, a punctured lung, a fractured wrist, and extensive bruising. She has already undergone multiple surgeries on both femurs and to stabilize her ribs.
Amanda's recovery will be long and challenging, and doctors expect it will take many months before she can return to a normal life and walk again. In addition to the physical and emotional toll, she faces a year or more of medical bills, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.
Amanda does not have health insurance, meaning every surgery, hospital day, and rehabilitation session is being paid out of pocket. Donations will go directly toward medical bills, rehabilitation, and the many costs Amanda will face throughout her recovery over the next year.
Amanda has been a dedicated and selfless BCBA healthcare professional for over 10 years, pouring her heart into the children and families she serves. Sadly, she will not be able to return to work for the foreseeable future as she focuses on recovering.
We are incredibly grateful that Amanda is still here with us. She could truly use prayers, love, and support as she navigates this difficult journey. Any contribution or share is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for supporting Amanda during this time.
Disclaimer: If you are a current or former client for whom Amanda served as a case manager, we kindly ask that you refrain from making a financial donation. While donations can be made anonymously and we may not always know the source, we strongly encourage clients to show their support through letters, messages, video messages or well wishes instead.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
