Support Amanda & Nathan's Twins in NICU

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

My name is Karen, and I am reaching out to you as the mother of my son Nathan Holman and the mother-in-law of my daughter-in-law Amanda Holman.

On March 24, 2025, their twins were born at just 26 weeks. Baby girl Oaklee was just 1 lb. 15 oz. Baby boy Lukas was just 1 lb. 14 oz. Both have been in the (NICU) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit since 3/24/25. Their original due date was the end of June. The babies most likely will not leave the NICU until closer to that original due date in June.

This has been such an emotional and challenging time for everyone who loves these little babies. But most of all, the strain on Amanda and Nathan is immeasurable. Amanda and Nathan travel daily to the hospital (which is about 30 min. away) from their home to spend that needed bonding time with the twins. Nathan's visits come after a day of work. Amanda's maternity leave from work began in March, even before the twins were born. Because of the extended stay in the NICU, it will prolong her time off work. The babies will come home sometime in June, and that's when the adjustment to home life begins for everyone. And that takes time, which means her unpaid maternity leave from work is even longer. We want to ensure that Amanda & Nathan can focus on this time without the added burden of financial worries. I'm sure some financial worries have already begun, but perhaps we could help alleviate those with this fund.

We have established this fund to help Amanda and Nathan to be able to pay for a wide range of items: any unpaid medical bills of Amanda or the twins, travels daily back and forth to the hospital, Amanda's extended unpaid maternity leave, baby items that they still need. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in allowing Amanda & Nathan to have the time needed and be more present for Oaklee & Lukas.

We deeply appreciate everyone who has prayed for these tiny babies. Continued prayers are still needed. Thank you for any assistance you can provide to Amanda, Nathan, Oaklee, & Lukas. Your kindness means the world to our family, and we look forward to the day these miracles come home.

Thank you for opening up your hearts.

With heartfelt gratitude,
a proud grandmother, Karen
