My name is Shay, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Amanda, to honor the memory of her beloved fur baby, Cosmo.

Cosmo wasn’t just a pet—he was family. With his soft white and tan fur and beautiful blue eyes, he brought so much warmth, love, and light into Amanda’s life and to everyone who met him. He had a gentle, sweet spirit that made him truly unforgettable.

Earlier this year, Cosmo unexpectedly began to show signs of illness. Amanda took him to the vet right away, where she was told it wasn’t anything serious. He was sent home with medication and hope that he’d recover. Sadly, a few months later, his health took a sudden turn for the worse—he stopped eating and began losing weight rapidly. Amanda rushed him to the ER, desperate for answers.

Over the next few days, Cosmo underwent multiple tests and was closely monitored. The vets discovered he had chronic kidney disease and anemia. There were fears of cancer, but thankfully that was ruled out. Despite it all, Amanda remained devoted—managing his treatments, administering daily medications, and doing everything in her power to help him heal.

Cosmo fought bravely through five long weeks of emergency visits, vet appointments, and quiet moments at home filled with hope and heartbreak. In the end, he passed peacefully, crossing the rainbow bridge with the same grace he brought to the world.
