My sister Amanda Elizabeth Hartse (Iholts/Pliley) has a very short time left to live. She is only 48 years old and is being taken from us far too soon. Amanda was very sick in December 2024, and thought it was just a flu, but was checked into the hospital. They realized it was much more serious, finding she had severe sepsis, which had already affected her heart, lungs, and kidneys. Sadly, her kidneys were rapidly failing, she was not a candidate for transplant, and they could not even do dialysis to prolong her life. Despite the hospital's efforts, the doctor determined she had less than 2 months to live by late January 2025. Amanda's condition is very painful and the best that can be done for her is palliative care to ease her suffering until the end. We unfortunately cannot anticipate more than a week or so left for her as of early February 2025. We are asking for help to cover the costs of cremation upon her inevitable passing. We will also plan a celebration of her life for later in the year. We hope that you will donate anything you can to help our family.
