Our friend and co-worker Amanda needs our help!

Amanda Genz has been a CNA at the hospital for several years. She always offers patients care and empathy as she provides for their most basic needs. She is a devoted wife, mother, and daughter. This last year has brought innumerable hardships for her.

A person crashed their car into their house and vehicle, which took getting an attorney in order to get the house and car fixed.

Then, through no fault of Amanda’s, a devastating personal family crisis occurred, forcing her to become the sole provider for her family and having to sell her house to cover legal fees. She is caught between a rock and a hard place with her family. It has been a nightmare for her and led to health problems for herself, including severe anxiety. Her mortgage is more than three months behind. They applied for hardship assistance and were turned down. They are trying to avoid foreclosure or bankruptcy and come up with a down payment for a new attorney as their other attorney has stepped down for financial reasons.

Additionally, Amanda’s mother in Wyoming has become critically ill, and although she would desperately like to stay with her and take care of her at this time, which may be the end of her life, financially it is not feasible.

We are first asking for prayers and good thoughts. We ask that the truth come to light. That peace and comfort be given to Amanda and her family. For strength and hope for Amanda and reconciliation. For emotional healing for her family. That her mother’s health improves if that is God’s will, and that comfort be given to her. That Amanda and her family are able to see her again if it is her time.

She would also appreciate any help in the form of donations to cover her overdue mortgage payments and the down payment for the new lawyer, which equals about $6,000. I know this is not an easy ask, but anything helps. Thank you!
