My name is Peggy Hipolito, and I am starting this fundraiser for my dear friend, Amanda Deichmann, and her husband, Tanner.

I have had the privilege of knowing Amanda through our Sheriff’s Office family and through our community efforts, especially our annual Adopt-A-Cop initiative. Over the years, I’ve watched her quietly serve others, encourage others, and show up for others… even while fighting the hardest battle of her own life.

Amanda’s strength has personally inspired me. I gain strength from her continued positivity, her faith, and her unwavering spirit. She has helped so many of us and now it’s our turn to help her.

If you know Amanda Deichmann, you know her story is one of love, faith, resilience, and quiet strength.

In 2016, just two months before marrying the love of her life, Amanda was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer. Many would have postponed everything. Amanda didn’t. She and Tanner chose joy. Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated their wedding day... choosing hope over fear. The very next Monday, Amanda began chemotherapy. By October, she had completed treatment and was blessed to be in remission.

But in June 2020, their world was shaken again.

The cancer returned. This time as Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. A diagnosis that comes with no cure.

And yet, Amanda and Tanner did what they have always done: they tightened their bootstraps, leaned into their faith, and chose courage.

For nearly six years, Amanda has endured multiple chemotherapy regimens, surgery, radiation, and countless procedures, all in the fight to extend her life and create more precious time with the people she loves. Recently, she has faced repeated hospitalizations due to fluid buildup around her lungs, adding even more physical and emotional strain to an already long battle.

What makes Amanda even more remarkable is that she continues to work. She continues to serve. She continues to give.

She has been a vital part of our annual Adopt-A-Cop efforts, helping pour into the very people who protect and serve our community. Even while fighting for her own life, Amanda has chosen to uplift others.

Tanner continues to faithfully serve at the Sheriff’s Office, showing up every day while carrying the weight of loving someone through the fight of her life.

This journey has been long. The treatments have been relentless. The hospital stays have been frequent. And the financial burden of nearly a decade of medical care has grown heavier with each passing year.

That is why I am starting this fundraiser.

Not because they would ever ask.
Not because they would ever complain.
But because sometimes the strongest people need a community to stand up for them.

Our goal is to help ease the financial strain of ongoing treatments, hospital stays, medical expenses, and the unexpected costs that come with long-term cancer care.

If you are able to give, thank you.
If you can’t give, please pray.
If nothing else, please share this page.

Let’s surround Amanda and Tanner the way they have surrounded so many others... with love, strength, and unwavering support.

Thank you for standing with the Deichmann family during this fight.
