Amanda has been through a lot over the past year, but the worse being her son Jake being diagnosed with Cancer. As if that wasn't tough enough, Amanda received word that she was being terminated from her job while she was on compassionate leave. Fresh on the heels of divorce, a sick child, and now no income. She has experienced no protection from current Alberta labour standards, and she is in an on going battle to protect her human rights through the Alberta human rights commission.
