Support Amanda After Beyden's Tragic Loss
Donation protected
A terrible tragedy has struck our community.
Our dear friend Amanda Olive has suffered an unimaginable loss. Her oldest son, Beyden Javier Mendieta-Olive, born November 17, 1999, passed away on April 15, 2025, at just 25 years old.
Beyden, full of life and light, was enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon riding his electric skateboard on Grant’s Trail. He was on his way to visit his mom for dinner with his siblings—just a simple, joyful plan. Tragically, Beyden was involved in a solo accident and did not survive his injuries.
He died doing something he loved.
Beyden is survived by his mother Amanda, father Francisco, siblings Alex, Eva, and Angel, and his partner Angie. He also leaves behind a vast and loving community of family and friends who cherished him deeply. The heartbreak we feel today—and will continue to feel—is a reflection of how deeply he was loved.
That day, Beyden wore a shirt that read: “Do good, be nice.”
And he truly was. Beyden was kind, compassionate, and full of heart. His goodness was evident to everyone who knew him, and the love pouring out from his community now speaks volumes.
In his final moments, surrounded by friends, family, and hospital staff, Beyden gave one final act of love as an organ donor. He continues to live on—not only in our hearts—but by saving the lives of others.
No parent should have to bury their child. No one should have to face this kind of sorrow alone.
This GoFundMe has been created to help Amanda and her family through this devastating time. We are asking for help to ease the financial burdens—funeral expenses, time off work, and the many unforeseen costs that come with such a tragic loss.
Amanda has always been there for others. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.
From the bottom of our hearts—and on behalf of everyone who knew and loved Beyden—we ask you to please consider donating. Help us lift Amanda and her family up with love and support. And please share this link widely, in honor of Beyden’s beautiful spirit.
We love you, Amanda. We are so, so sorry.
Amanda Olive said today "We are donating Beyden‘s organs through Mid-America transplant. We went through a long list of everything I was willing to donate and we found out today that they are using absolutely everything they can. Beyden is our hero. All that we know right now is that his burial will be at Bellfountain cemetery sometime next week."
