Hi everyone, my name is Sidney, and I’m organizing this fundraiser with Amador’s permission. He didn’t ask for this himself, but when I offered to help, he was grateful and the support truly matters right now for both him and his partner, Freddy.

Earlier this year, after weeks of unexplained illness and pain, Amador was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma and as of Nov 25/25 has now begun chemotherapy. The diagnosis came suddenly and forced him to step away from work and put his entire life on hold. Freddy has been by his side through every appointment, every recovery day, and every part of this difficult transition.

Their home has already faced more than most — just last year, Freddy was in a serious car accident, and they were still working to rebuild stability when Amador became sick. With treatment now taking priority, both of them have had to take significant time away from work, making everyday expenses like gas, groceries, rent, and dog care difficult to manage.

Anyone who knows Amador knows how much heart he brings into the world. He’s a five-time world medalist, a proud California All Stars athlete (Reckless, Smoed, Revolverz), a mentor, a coach, a teammate, and a bright presence in every community he’s part of, including his work with JAMZ. This year, instead of competing or coaching, Amador is using all his strength to focus on treatment and healing. His world looks different right now, but his determination remains the same. He’s lifted up so many people over the years (literally and figuratively) and now it’s our turn to lift him up.

This fundraiser is simply to give Amador and Freddy some breathing room while he undergoes treatment: support with living costs, medical travel, and caring for their dogs so they can focus fully on healing and being together.
