Hi, my name is Alyssa, and asking for help like this is not easy for me.
Over the past year, my dental health has deteriorated to the point where I’ve already had three teeth extracted, with one more extraction still ahead of me. After that, I will need a partial denture just to be able to eat comfortably, speak without pain, and feel some sense of normalcy again. The total cost for everything is around $3,000, which is more than I can manage on my own.
What makes this especially hard is that I don’t have parents I can turn to for help. I’ve lost both of them to cancer, and since then I’ve been completely on my own both emotionally and financially. I fully support myself, and while I do everything I can to stay afloat, unexpected medical and dental expenses like this feel overwhelming.
Living with dental pain and missing teeth has affected far more than just my physical health. It’s taken a toll on my confidence, my mental well-being, and my ability to feel comfortable in everyday situations. Something as simple as smiling or eating in public has become a source of anxiety and embarrassment.
I’m not asking for luxury or cosmetic perfection, just asking for the chance to heal, to feel like myself again, and to move forward without constant pain or shame.
Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and bring me one step closer to that goal. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as deeply appreciated. Thank you for reading my story and for any kindness you’re able to offer.
Also unfortunately a large chunk of my previous donations from when I first made my fundraiser in June of last year was used going to multiple consultations and appointments that didn’t get me far in treatment. I have now (January) found a dentist that I am confident in that will be completing my care which is what the main picture (my current treatment plan) is from.
