Hi, my name is Alyssa, and I’m asking for help so I can safely enter an alcohol detox program and stabilize my life after a year filled with domestic violence and trauma.
This year has been one of the hardest of my life. I experienced multiple DV-related incidents, including a recent sexual assault that resulted in a police report and a SANE exam. These events have shaken every part of my world — emotionally, physically, financially, and mentally.
Because of everything that has happened, my health has declined, my work attendance has suffered, and my stability has been overwhelmed. I’m trying to get sober from alcohol, but I cannot safely detox alone at home. I need a medical detox facility for my own safety.
My biggest barriers are:
• I can’t go to detox unless I can cover my bills while I’m gone.
• I have two cats who are my emotional support and my family, and I need to make sure they have food, litter, and care while I’m away.
• If I take time off work without support, I risk becoming homeless after leaving treatment.
I am asking for $4,000 so I can:
• Enter a safe medical detox facility
• Take the recommended time off work to heal
• Pay my rent and essential bills during treatment
• Make sure my cats are fully taken care of while I’m gone
• Come out of detox with a stable place to live and a plan to stay sober
I want to turn my life around. I want to heal from the trauma I’ve been carrying. I want stability, safety, and sobriety. I want to build a future I’m proud of.
I am doing everything I can, but I can’t do this part alone.
If you can donate, share, or simply send support, it truly means more than I can explain.
Thank you for helping me take this step toward safety, healing, and sobriety.
I appreciate every single person who takes the time to read this.
— Alyssa
