Hey! I'm Alyssa MacKenzie!

I'm 46, living in the United States as a trans woman, happily married to my wife and doing my absolute best to be the best person I can be, while trying desperately to stay safe and sane in this landscape.

I've been involved in advocacy and community work since coming out as trans in 2019, intent on making sure to help others in their journey while trying to navigate social constructs that complicate being an avid race fan since I was 12, but never quite having the money to launch into a professional driving career.

My stepdad and I spent the better part of three decades bonding through our love of racing, attending races at Daytona International Speedway annually for nearly 30 years straight. We never came into much money, but he always believed in my ability in my ventures in autocross, drag racing and over 10 years competing in sim racing.

He passed away suddenly in 2024, and I've since spent my time trying to reconnect with my love of racing as both a way to still feel connected to him and to keep pursuing something I'm intensely passionate about, to this day.

I'm currently competing at K1 Speed in my first indoor karting season and plan to progress up to Briggs Masters at my local outdoor karting circuit here in Colorado, which will require a lot of expenses, including buying my own kart and racing equipment, which unfortunately isn't cheap, but still doable with some financial help.

If you're even able to donate ANYTHING to help me achieve this goal, it honestly wouldn't have a price tag to me. I really want and need this right now, so I'm leaning in the way I know how to try and accomplish the goal of having a kart to compete in.

It's hard for me to ask for or accept help, so this is a tough thing for me to do. But this is my Hail Mary into the universe, happy and grateful for anything you're able to donate.
