Dear Family and Friends,

I have a school trip opportunity that I would like to attend. At the end of the school year, our Social Studies classes take students to Washington D.C. through a program called “Close-Up.” It’s a very exciting program that promotes student hands on learning and engagement in government and the democratic process. I would like to participate because I enjoy learning about history, and to be able to experience this in person would be amazing. I also would be able to meet other students from other states. My education matters a lot to me, as I continue to maintain straight A’s. This opportunity to learn up close with my classmates is one that I don’t want to miss.
