Hello!

I am an 11th grader at Illinois Math and Science Academy. I live with my grandma in Delhi Il. Since her retirement her income decreased by half and we are both hoping that I can raise enough money to go to attwnd an 8 day program at Yale University. I will get to experience so much during this program. It will not only broaden my experiences in the medical field but also help me be able to get into more prestigious colleges.

I have been nominated to represent my school and community at the National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine and Health Care at Yale University. By attending this program, I will join other motivated students from around the country for an experiential medical program. This will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with respected professionals in various fields while building relationships with students who will be my future colleagues. Attending this program will allow me to further my interest in the medical field and reach my career goals of becoming a neurologist.

I maintain a 3.7 gpa, am involved in golf, theater, my schools peer tutor program, and was recently awarded Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence.

Imagine if you had been given this opportunity for a life-changing experience when you were in school and were unable to participate for lack of funds—that is why I am writing to you today. My participation in the program depends on whether I can raise $6,000. I am investing every dollar I can of my own money to make sure I don’t miss out on this unique experience, and because I go to a boarding school I can not get a job until summer.

I am hoping that you all will consider assisting me with all or some of these costs. My tuition is paid in installments I need $900 each month. The first payment is due by March 15th 2026. The total of 6,000 isn't due until July 15.
