Hello, my name is Alyssa Chapman. I'm an imaginative dreamer, creative being, and writer.

I used to dream of filming movies for the big screen, writing novels you'd buy in bookstores. I'd watch in awe at people dancing, feel the rhythm in my soul, and want to learn. But, at some point in life, I stuffed my creative passions in a box, labeled it, "don't open." I pushed the box in a corner and forgot about it. Call it a fear of failure or rejection, maybe shame for wanting to pursue my creative endeavors. Possibly a mixture of all three. But that ember which had fueled my flame had long since burned out. Even my daily poetry entries fell to the wayside. Until one day, I met someone who I'll call my North Star, a guiding light in the dark. With their help, I began rediscovering my passions and developing new ones too. I began teaching myself to dance, practicing singing, and began writing poetry again.

My goal is to self-publish a book and produce creative content. My vision: connect with others in a way that can be inspirational, healing, and powerful.
