In the summer of 2002, I walked into a beginner's course in Buddhism. It was the first step on a spiritual journey that leads me now to ordination.
This August, fifteen years after that first step, I travel to the United Kingdom to be ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order. This public ceremony initiates the next phase of my practice, commitment and spiritual development.
This fundraising effort supports travel and retreat costs for myself and my spiritual teacher, Padmadharini. She has been a precious friend and support in my ordination process and has taken on the task of conducting my ordination.
I'm self-employed as a therapist and do not receive any paid-time off. My savings will go to covering lost income during the time I'm away.
