We’re incredibly grateful to share that we, Alyssa and Terrel, are actively competing in the 2026 USA Yoga Competition season.
With the support of our amazing coaches and community, we’ve been showing up with consistency and heart. We’re deep in weekly coaching, focused training, and meaningful inner work as we move through the season. This is a full cycle of regional and national events where we step on stage to share not just our practice, but our passion.
For us, the journey is about more than medals. It’s about quiet strength, dedication, and the lessons we learn every time we fall. Rising with intention, inspiring others, and continuing forward with heart. Training has been deep, competition has been humbling, and the lessons continue to unfold in unexpected ways.
We’re currently in the heart of the season, balancing training, travel, competition, and teaching while staying committed to our community and our personal growth.
To stay focused and prepared, we’re asking for help covering the key expenses that make this journey possible:
• Training and coaching
• Registration and competition fees
• Travel and transportation
• Meals and daily essentials
• Lodging for regional and national events
We deeply appreciate your generosity. Whether it’s a financial contribution or simply sharing our story with someone who may feel inspired by it, every act of support brings us one step closer to this dream.
This journey reflects what’s possible when people believe in themselves and in each other. It’s about showing up for a practice that challenges and strengthens us, and carrying that same strength into the world around us.
A bit about the sport
Yoga asana competition has roots in ancient Indian traditions that celebrate physical strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. Organizations such as USA Yoga and the International Yoga Sports Federation host events centered on asana performance, judged by balance, execution, and control within a framework of ethical integrity and joy.
In yoga competition, the true champion is the one who finds presence and love in the practice, regardless of outcome. That is what we are here for: personal growth, healthy competition, progress, and connection.
We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our coaches, Kim Tang, Faye Wylder, and the incredible Team Kim Tang. Through their practice of self-cultivation, self-discovery, and self-leadership grounded in compassion, they continually demonstrate the power of love, presence, and belief. We are profoundly grateful for their guidance, grace, and support.
And to our students, family, and friends, thank you for your love, encouragement, and belief in us. You remind us daily why we do this and what it means to keep showing up with heart.
We share regular updates here as the season unfolds so you can follow along in real time.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Every message, contribution, and shared word of encouragement reminds us that this journey is with you all as well. We carry our community with us every time we step on the mat.
If this journey speaks to you, sharing this page helps us continue forward with focus and gratitude.
With love and gratitude,
Alyssa & Terrel
