On August 2nd, Alyssa sought help for severe pain related to a 4mm kidney stone. During this visit, lesions were discovered on her liver, spine, and pelvis. Tragically, these findings were not immediately communicated to her. The pain escalated, leading her back to the ER on the night of August 7th into August 8th. Following admission and a liver biopsy, the confirmed diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer was delivered.

Scans have since revealed that the cancer has spread extensively, from her neck down to her feet, affecting her bones. While the journey ahead is daunting, there is a beacon of hope: a recent brain MRI showed no signs of cancer. Alyssa is receiving treatments to stop the spreading and lesions on her bones.
