Hi! My name is Alyssa Montrose, a High School Senior. I am a first generation Latina and CODA (child of deaf adult) student attending a 4 year university (California State University of Fullerton) and majoring in Psychology that comes from a big family and a low income background. I helped my Dad with raising my siblings for most of my childhood and adolescence. My ability to succeed while facing these challenges motivate me to pursue a higher education, and to someday give back to my community and my family. Unfortunately, me going into college while also coming from a low income background means I don’t have the funds to pay for it. I am trying to seek ways to pay for my education without going into a ton of debt, as well as supplies for my dorm. Anything and everything helps!
