Support Alyssa Beggs' Recovery Journey

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out to ask for support for Alyssa Beggs.

Last week, Alyssa had a stroke caused by narrowing of the arteries in her brain—a complication from past radiation treatment. During this time she also went into adrenal crisis and we had to inject her w a rescue dose of steroids. Thankfully, she’s stable and recovering. The MRI shows very minimal damage.

Unfortunanly, this week Alyssa lost her job because of the time she had to take off while recovering. Since she had only been at the surgery center for a month, she didn’t qualify for FMLA and had very limited time off. Many of you know that Alyssa’s passion as a nurse is a result of the care she received as a brain tumor survivor. She would like to return to nursing after she is rested and recovered.

We’re putting this fundraiser together to help Alyssa cover:

• Medical bills

• Health insurance

• Her mortgage

While she focuses on healing, we want to make sure she has the support she needs to stay afloat until she can get back to doing what she loves—taking care of others.
