Support Alyssa and Tyler's Recovery from Disaster

Hey Friends, my name is Carolyn Crowe and I’m reaching out here to help my daughter, Alyssa Crowe, and her boyfriend, Tyler Schowe.

Unfortunately, like so many others, they have been displaced by Hurricane Helene and lost everything.

Their home in Gulfport was in a mandatory evacuation zone and was flooded with 4 feet of water, and they lost everything. It is uninhabitable.

They evacuated with only the clothes on their backs. Once they made it to my friend's home, Marsha Paul, we returned to their home only to see everything inside flooded and Alyssa's car flooded as well.

To make matters worse, neither have health insurance, and their rental insurance was so high, they simply couldn't afford to insure the items in their home. They are carless and homeless at this point.

As her mother, my first instinct is to have them come home, but my own home flooded and had power out for 7 days, my car flooded, and my home in Madeira Beach is in a disaster zone. We also have another hurricane headed in.

I’m asking for help because Alyssa and Ty would never ask for it themselves, and it is a tough ask for me to crowdsource assistance as well, but with a 2nd storm on the way in, we realize that help is needed.

Alyssa and Ty have huge hearts and always try to be there for others, but now, they need a little support. Right now, they’re displaced and unsure of what’s next, and any small amount would make a world of difference.

The funds raised will go towards:

• Temporary housing for Alyssa, Ty, and their 2 dogs and cat.

• Basic necessities like clothes, food, and hygiene products

• Help replacing essential items they’ve lost, at the very least, a mattress

• Storage for remaining items they had from the flood.

• U-Haul rental to transport what they can salvage
