My name is Alyssa and my husband is Daniel. We met 3 years ago and last year we got married. Daniel and his brother, Hilario, have become a very important part of our family. Daniel and I have been planning our future and hoping to start a family of our own.

On November 17th, our lives were drastically changed. While Daniel and Hilario were working, they were detained by ICE and within 3 days they were deported to Mexico. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult transition for our family. It adds a financial burden as I now have only one income to maintain our household while Daniel and Hilario are trying to build a life from scratch in another country. Once they are settled, I will be moving there to reunite with my husband.

We are hoping to raise funds to help with shipping items to them in Mexico so they will have clothing and other things from home. We will also have moving and travel expenses when I move to Mexico, as well as fees for breaking our lease where I'm currently living.
