On the afternoon of Wednesday April 8th, while Alyssa and Austin were out shopping for household items and furniture to complete their new home they never never imagined they would be coming home to nothing. 

The home they had just moved into days earlier was up in flames with boxes upon boxes of unpacked belongings inside as well . While a few items of clothing in a closed closet door are “only” severely smoke damaged most everything else is unsalvageable.

And although they are thankful no one was hurt and that they have each other, they did unfortunately lose one of their two cats, Spunky, in the fire. 

Alyssa and Austin are some of the sweetest and most hard working people you will ever meet. Incredibly, they are staying so positive, and are grateful for the all of the help extended by the friendly folks in their neighborhood. 

Times are unfamiliar and tough for everyone in the world right now but alll I can think about is how much tougher it is without a home, only a few articles of clothing and mourning the loss of a beloved pet and everything they own.
