Hi everyone,

I’m creating this fundraiser for my best friend, Alysiah, and her family during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time.

Just a little over a month ago, Alysiah gave birth to their baby boy. Since then, their family has been facing one challenge after another. Their newborn son has already undergone multiple surgeries due to feeding complications, and now Alysiah is fighting serious health issues of her own.

After recently having emergency gallbladder surgery, a few weeks after her c section she was then hospitalized again after developing jaundice and dangerously elevated liver levels. Doctors are still trying to determine exactly what is causing the complications, and she is now facing additional procedures and possible surgery while they search for answers.

This has placed an emotional, physical, and financial strain on their family. Michael is currently the sole provider for their household and has had to miss work repeatedly to care for both his wife and newborn son while traveling back and forth to appointments and hospital stays.

Anyone who knows Alysiah and Michael knows they would give the shirt off their backs to help someone else. Right now, they need that same support in return.

Funds raised will help ease the burden of:

• Lost income from missed work

• Travel and hospital expenses

• Meals and daily living costs

• Caring for their newborn during this ongoing medical situation
