Support Alysha and Her Girls After Apartment Fire
Donation protected
- My name is Alysha, and I'm a single mother to 3 girls ages 2, 3 and 7. On Sunday night Sept 9th around 9:30 our apartment caught on fire. It started on my couch in the middle of my living room and quickly engulfed the entire apartment. When it started, I was just leaving town on my way to drop my oldest daughters big sister off at her mom's in Shawano. I put all my girls in bed and had a close friend and her boyfriend babysit for me. They were about to take a shower, and luckily they forgot a towel and opened the door to get one and saw the smoke rolling in. My friend did immediately get all 3 of my girls outside safely which is the biggest blessing. After getting them to safety she ran up and grabbed the fire extinguisher and tried putting it out herself, however there was already too much smoke and she had to get out of there. She saved my babies, and that's what matters most. Unfortunately, I did not have renters insurance, and I lost most of my furniture, clothes, dishes, toys and more. I also unfortunately lost my job as well a week later due to child care , Ir pack thereof. I have been struggling to get back on my feet. I recently started an apprenticeship at a tattoo shop, but am lacking on funds for supplies and a tattoo license. I am currently looking for donations to help with the cost of a hotel for my girls and I for the next 3 months while the apartment is being renovated as well as to replace what I've lost. I appreciate every cent.
