Support Alya and her family in her fight against leukemia!

It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes so much more to help one who is sick.

Hello, my name is Marsha and I am fundraising for my daughter Sherri and granddaughter Alya.......

Alya, a vibrant 15-year-old grade 10 student, was diagnosed with leukemia (Acute lymphoblastic leukemia - ALL) on October 7th.

Soon after, she began her long journey down the path of chemotherapy. For over two years, Alya will travel to Calgary for treatment. She’ll have weekly appointments, some one-day treatment appointments as an outpatient in Calgary, and other longer three or four-day stays in Calgary.

In order to take care of Alya and shuttle her to and from treatments, Alya’s mother is facing loss of time at work along with the added expense of traveling back and forth to Calgary weekly, including fuel, hotel costs and meals, which has put a strain on their finances.
