About 2 years ago, Alvin became an addition to the Terrazas/Sanchez household. We rescued him when he was only 7 weeks old, and he recently turned 2 on April 12th! Since then, he’s become very close to our dog, Toby, as well as the rest of our family.
Unfortunately, on April 8th, we had to take Alvin to the ER due to unusual behavior such as hiding, crying, being unable to use the bathroom, and more. We found out that what he had was a urinary tract blockage that required emergency surgery because it could’ve led to further illness, or in the worst cases, death. Alvin is a huge part of our family, and we didn’t want to have to put him down; he is our best friend. The surgery and the 2-day stay in the hospital was upwards of $7,000.
I am currently a full-time college student who only works part-time, and even though my parents do work full-time jobs, this is an unexpected expense that we could really use help paying for. Anything helps, even if it’s just sharing our post. If you have pets, I’m sure you understand how hard it is to have to make these decisions, but we cannot lose Alvin.
