UPDATE: Alphie is home as of Nov 8. He’s a trooper and got to come home a day earlier than they originally told us.

In total, this has costed me $3,030.

Although it has technically been paid for, I’m being super transparent with yall, I had to take out a loan for $2,700 and paid the other $330 out of pocket. So the reason for the Go fund me is to help me pay off that loan. It’s over $80 a month and with interest, I’ll actually be paying $3,100+ so, I’m hoping some very generous people are willing to donate so I can get out of that loan as quickly as possible. I’d much rather spend that extra $80+ a month towards Alphies new diet which he will need to be on for the rest of his life. Prescription dog food is extremely expensive. send me all the prayers and good vibes you can muster up lol. He’s definitely worth it, but this fur mama is gunna struggle

Our beloved boy Alphie suddenly couldn’t expel his bladder today Nov 6th, so when I got off work we took him to the emergency vet.

his bladder is absolutely full of stones and his urethra is blocked & he needs surgery. Pic included of xray.

There’s not really a clear reason why this would happen but he will need to be on a special urinary diet for life after this, they said.

I don’t totally understand the medical jargon they were trying to explain to me about the cost but the way I understand it, if we want the best medical care and all bases covered, it’s going to cost over 3k….. ain’t no one got that :|
