MARF (Maryland Animal Rescue Foundation) is committed to reducing the daily number of euthanized dogs in Maryland and across the country.
Meet Alora. She was at the shelter through no fault of her own. Only 3 years of age, she already had multiple litters, was used for breeding, and discarded! Her poor ears were cut, left infected, and untreated. Arriving with both inner ear canals infected, one so infected she will likely lose some or all of her hearing. After being at the shelter for nearly a month, it was discovered she had been suffering from a spinal injury. Once MARF became aware of her medical needs and how uncomfortable she must have been, we contacted the shelter and pulled her to our rescue. She was immediately placed in a loving foster home. She is currently decompressing, awaiting her first treatment to ensure she is healthy enough for surgery to repair her spinal injury.
Without the help of MARF, our amazing fosters, and donors, we could not help these amazing forgotten furbabies. Alora's medical expenses short term will be approximately $5500. The long-term care for her is not yet determined. That will all depend on the outcome of her treatments and surgery success.
Will you help us help ALORA ! She DESERVES to live a happy pain free life!
