Hello my name is Rebekah. I have 3 children, two girls and one boy, ages 12, 10, and 6! Their names are Abigaile, Mary, and Alonzo! My children are my world.
Over the past weekend, the worst thing happened to my youngest child!! He is completely traumatized! He was outside playing with the neighbor kid that he plays with every day, and this was his worst nightmare. As they were simply playing, the neighbor's dog, Rocco, got let out and was running towards the kids. Alonzo got in the way, and Rocco attacked him for no reason . He literally got bit multiple times. We heard him screaming from 4 doors down and his dad ran that way. The owner of the dog came walking with him, and she was trying to shove my baby's shirt back on while meat chunks were falling off, trying to hide the wounds, and begged the dad to just come down to her house, not to go to the hospital. She'd make it right and put peroxide and band-aids on it... Um, NO, our baby needed to go to the ER.
We rushed him there and made it in literally a 20-minute drive into 8 minutes. When we got to the hospital, they did X-rays and said with him being so little, they couldn't do anything else, that he had to be transferred to a hospital an hour away. He was already having breathing problems, but thankfully it was because he was in shock. When we got to the other hospital, we found out that he had got lucky because the dog missed his lungs by a half inch. He could have been killed. They put him to sleep to do a deep clean in the wounds and surgery. They were able to stretch the skin on all the places to get him closed up. And now he's at home recovering and says every day that he wishes this never happened and that it is so painful!
But while we were there, we learned that he had lost his Medicare at some point. So we are going to have to pay for his supplies and medication out of pocket and the hospital fee and ambulance fee!! It's going to cost us so much! And he has to go back in two weeks to get the stitches removed. They will expect a co-pay this time around. And once that is done, he will need therapy to rebuild some of the muscle!
Thank you to everyone that took time to read our story and pray for him!!! And also thank you to anyone that is able to donate. Literally, every dollar counts and means a lot!! I appreciate each and every one of you!!! Thank you in advance!! If you don't feel comfortable donating on here I do have cash app it's under my middle name krystyne $MamaFickle
