Support Alondra's Fight Against Cancer

I never thought I’d be in this situation so bear with me!

My story (short version):

My name is Alondra, I’m 26 years old.

Over July 4th 2025 weekend, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

It started around late May when I noticed my left breast was larger than my right and felt some pain in the area. A few weeks later, I found a lump in my armpit (weird?). Turns out it was an impacted lymph node. After an ultrasound showed a tumor, things moved quickly. I had a mammogram, CT scan, bone scan, biopsies and MRIs, and on 8/19/25 I started chemotherapy. My treatment will last about 6 months, followed by surgery and then targeted radiation therapy.

I was completely shocked from the news and it took lots of processing. No one in my family has had cancer, let alone breast cancer. I’ve always valued my health and spent years focused on eating well & taking care of myself. My bloodwork and routine checkups have always been perfectly healthy.

But after some crash outs, it was time to stand up and start fighting.

I’ve been so hesitant to post this because I understand everyone’s situation is different. But the bills for my cancer care are already adding up and thought I’d try this. Please know there is absolutely no pressure at all. At the end of the day, the love and support I’ve received has already meant the world to me.

Nunca pensé que estaría en esta situación, así que gracias por acompañarme.

Mi historia (versión corta):

Me llamo Alondra, tengo 26 años.

Durante el fin de semana del 4 de julio de 2025, me diagnosticaron cáncer de mama triple negativo en etapa 3.

Todo comenzó a finales de mayo, cuando noté que mi seno izquierdo estaba más grande que el derecho y sentía algo de dolor en la zona. Unas semanas después encontré un bulto en mi axila (¿raro, no?). Resultó ser un ganglio linfático afectado. Después de una ecografía donde se veía claramente un tumor, todo avanzó muy rápido. Me hicieron una mamografía, una tomografía, un gammagrama óseo, biopsia, y resonancias magnéticas, y el 19/08/25 comencé la quimioterapia. Mi tratamiento durará unos 6 meses, seguido de una cirugía y después de radioterapia dirigida.

La noticia fue un completo shock y me tomó mucho tiempo asimilarla. Nadie en mi familia ha tenido cáncer, y mucho menos cáncer de mama. Siempre he valorado mi salud y he pasado años enfocándome en comer bien y cuidarme. Mis análisis de sangre y chequeos de rutina siempre habían salido perfectamente saludables.

Pero después de algunos momentos difíciles, supe que era hora de levantarme y empezar a luchar.

He dudado mucho en compartir esto porque entiendo que la situación de cada persona es diferente. Pero mis cuentas médicas de mi tratamiento ya se están acumulando y pensé en intentar esto. Por favor sepan que no hay absolutamente ninguna presión. Al final del día, el amor y el apoyo que he recibido ya han significado el mundo para mí.
