Help turn "Almost Something" into actually something
Hi, I’m Sabrina Harrison, a Cinema & Theatre student at Virginia Tech and the creator and director of an independent four-episode series called Almost Something.
The series focuses on two seniors, Gwen and Danny, as they navigate their final semester of college leading up to graduation. It explores ambition, relationships, pressure, and the reality of stepping into adulthood when you don’t fully feel ready.
As a senior myself, I’m creating this project at a time when graduation and everything that comes with it feels very real. This story reflects questions and pressures many of us are facing right now.
I’m currently raising funds to help bring this project to life. We’re producing the series with a full student cast and crew, operating at a professional level. The funds will go directly toward essential production costs such as feeding our cast and crew, wardrobe, locations, equipment needs, and post-production support.
This is not just a class assignment. It’s an independently run student production designed to function like a real set, giving everyone involved meaningful experience while creating something we are proud to share beyond campus.
Every contribution helps us execute this series to the quality it deserves.
