My name is Kimberly, I am the daughter of Maria Alma Rivas. She is a mother, sister, and most importantly to her, a grandmother.

I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times our family has faced. Alma has recently been diagnosed with carcinoma of the bladder. This diagnosis has turned her world upside down, bringing not only physical and emotional challenges, but also a heavy financial burden that continues to grow.

As she begins her fight against cancer, she will face mounting medical expenses including treatments, procedures, medications and ongoing care. On top of that, she will be needing to travel to and from Dallas to receive care. It goes without saying, but her ability to work and support herself has been compromised.

My mother is a strong, loving and resilient woman who has always been there for her family and others in need, selfless. She needs our help, now more than ever before.
