Support Allyson's Road to Recovery

On 04/02/2025, my sister Allyson was leaving her job at Monatos, on Washington Ave in Saugerties, headed home for the night.
On that road, two men were engaged in a road rage match. One young man on a dirt bike flipped off a man in a car. The man in the car (who was also driving his young child) decided to speed to 55 mph in a 25 mph zone in order to hit the dirt bike. Driving straight through an intersection, this man, in an attempt to run over the young man on the bike, hit my sister head-on, crushing her car and leaving her trapped inside. First responders were able to cut her out of the car and call her family to meet at the hospital. It wouldn’t be until late that night that we would know the extent of her injuries.
She was going the speed limit, wearing her seatbelt, and being a defensive driver. All this, and because a man thought it was his right to attempt to cause harm, I could’ve lost my sister.
By some true and absolute miracle, Allyson was able to leave the hospital after 3 long days with a broken clavicle, talus bone (ankle), and calcaneus bone (heel), whiplash, and bruises everywhere, but still breathing and with us.
This will be a long road ahead. She’s facing the potential of several painful surgeries and she will be unable to work for several months at least. She’s also unable to access her third-floor walk-up and will need to recover with our parents who will now have to cover all her living and out-of-pocket expenses, such as the wheelchair she required to leave the hospital.
We are fundraising to help cover Allyson's medical expenses, living costs, and necessary medical equipment during her recovery.
