Support Allyson Griffie's Heart Transplant Journey

This account is set up for my dear friend and co-worker Allyson Griffie. Allyson had a heart valve replacement on September 3, 2024, in Medford, OR, and unfortunately had some unforeseen complications, putting her into heart failure.

A week later, Allyson was emergently flown to Portland for lifesaving interventions. Allyson has gone through several procedures in hopes her heart would recover, only to be told her only hope is a heart transplant. Allyson's "ticker" is still ticking with the help of a couple of heart pumps and several medications. Allyson is very strong-willed and determined to make it home with her new heart.

In the meantime, her husband, Leonard, has been commuting to Portland when he can to see her but can only stay a couple of days at a time due to their fur family at home. I have been granted permission by Allyson to put this out there for the ones who would like to help this wonderful couple in their time of need.

Funds will be used to make travel for her husband to Portland easier on them financially, and most importantly, help cover the cost of housing after Allyson's transplant. After being discharged from the hospital, Allyson will have to be housed close to the hospital for several weeks before being released home.
