Hi, my name is Masha Kovacs and I am organizing this fundraiser for Allyne Betancourt. Her courage and faith in life have inspired thousands of people worldwide. Today, she is facing a very different kind of challenge — one that she cannot overcome alone.

Below are her words:

My name is Allyne Betancourt, and I am reaching out to you during a challenging time in my life. Recently, I lost my beloved husband, my best friend, my life partner, Raymond. With his passing, I have found myself facing significant financial difficulties. We did not have life insurance, and I am now solely responsible for managing the debt on our small farm all while my income has been reduced.

Despite these hardships, I am determined to maintain our home and continue the life my husband and I loved. Raymond’s practical and unwavering support for me over the years helped me overcome major health issues. His laughter kept us going during the times we felt overwhelmed with managing a hobby farm, chasing goats, rounding up feisty chickens, and plowing through cold, hard winters. His spirit lives with me still, and I feel strongly that the universe will bring me what I need to get through this difficult period. I believe in the power of community and the kindness of others, and I am hopeful that with your support, I can overcome these obstacles.
