Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
My name is Ally Minor and I’m sharing my story with a heart full of hope. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of one day becoming a mom. That dream has never faded, even through some of the hardest chapters of my life.
When I was just 11 months old, I was diagnosed with infant acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). By the grace of God, I survived—but the chemotherapy that saved my life also caused irreversible heart damage. As a result, I eventually underwent a heart transplant, which gave me a second chance at life.
Because of the transplant, I will be on lifelong rejection medication to keep my heart healthy. Unfortunately, those medications make it medically unsafe for me to ever carry a child of my own. While this news was heartbreaking, I still believe in the possibility of motherhood—just in a different way.
In order to grow my family, I will need to pursue IVF with an egg donor and gestational surrogacy. As you may know, these processes are incredibly expensive and not often covered by insurance. That’s why I’m asking for help. The funds raised will go directly toward IVF treatments, medical costs, legal fees, and supporting a surrogate throughout the journey.
This isn’t an easy thing to ask for—but I believe in the power of community, kindness, and faith. If you feel led to give, please know that your generosity will be a part of helping me bring a precious life into this world.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, donating, or simply praying. Love y’all so much, and God bless
With love and hope,
The Minors
