I'm raising funds for my sister, Allison. She is only 28 years old and lives with chronic pain from endometriosis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and POTS.

For more than five years, Allison gave back to others through her work as a social worker and by founding a nonprofit animal rescue. Now, she is the one who needs help.

After her last surgery revealed extensive damage to her internal organs, Allison was forced to quit her job and apply for disability. There is no cure for her conditions, and right now she is relying on palliative care, physical therapy, and rest. Most days, she can hardly stand and the days of riding her beloved horse are long gone.

Allison was recently denied federal disability benefits and is now appealing that decision. The appeal process can take 1 to 2 years before any back pay comes through, and in the meantime she has zero income and cannot work. Her rent and bills are piling up, and we are afraid eviction is inevitable without outside help.
