Please Support Allison Webster's Battle with Lymphoma
Donation protected
We are fundraising for our friend and RIVERBEND neighbor Allison Webster who needs financial support while battling lymphoma, and who is recovering from major surgery and chemotherapy. Your support will cover Allison's family expenses while she struggles to save her life for herself and her two young daughters.
In her own words: "I served as a combat medic & radiology technologist in Germany receiving casualties everyday from multiple deployment sites. I served in Iraq FOB Camp Liberty as well as the Green Zone, where I was exposed to burn pits on a daily basis. It rained styrofoam everyday!"
Burn pits were used in Iraq and other overseas locations to dispose of waste from military bases, including items that produced toxic smoke when burned. Some burn pits were very large one even covering an area of 10 acres. As the wind shifted, the smoke from the burn pit would pass over the entire base. Many who served have been sickened and many died from this harmful process.
"After Active Duty, I chose to become a Govt Contractor to support my family as a single Mother. Not wearing boots or carrying a weapon, I continued in a war zone to support the mission and help our fellow Veterans as a MWR Coordinator."
Allison has endured multiple surgeries and is currently receiving severe stage 4 chemotherapy for Diffuse B-Cell Lymphoma (a fast-growing blood cancer).
She enjoys swimming and says the water is "my peace with my maker". Allison is a kind soul, helping everyone with whom she comes into contact. Now she needs our help.
Any donation you can make, no matter how small, will be so appreciated. Thank you for your generosity and please share this GoFundMe to reach a wider audience.
