Allison and Lex are two people we love deeply, and right now they’re carrying more than anyone should have to. Allison was recently diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She’s currently spending 10 days in the hospital for intensive chemo treatment, followed by a long path of intensive outpatient care, with multiple appointments each week. This is especially heavy with a 5-month-old baby at home. During treatment, Allison won’t be able to care for their baby the way she normally would, which means Lex will stay home from work or they’ll need to bring in childcare - on top of medical bills, their mortgage, and everyday expenses.
Allison is a school counselor, and Lex is a high school teacher and track and cross-country coach. They give so much of themselves to their students, athletes, and everyone around them. They are the people who show up when others need help, and asking for it themselves is incredibly hard. (Hence the $1 goal, they don’t want anyone to feel pressured to donate and appreciate any type of support). We’re starting this fundraiser to support them in a very practical way during this long road ahead.
Funds raised will help cover medical bills, childcare, household expenses, and daily living costs while Allison undergoes treatment and Lex supports their family. Any amount - whether through donating, sharing, or keeping them in your thoughts - will help ease some of the weight so they can focus on treatment, healing, and caring for their family. We’re grateful for the love and support surrounding them! Love you Allison, Lex, and Cole!
