My dear friends, Allison Schlack and Michael Omondi, along with their three young children, are preparing for a major life transition. After more than 20 years of faithfully serving thousands in a slum in Kisumu, Kenya through, Ndoto: For Africa’s Future, they are relocating to the Dallas area.
At just 22 years old, Allison followed a God-given dream and arrived in Kisumu with 3x5 photo of a pastor and his family that hosted her there on her first visit. With courage and compassion, she began serving daily in the community, slowly building what would become Ndoto—with God’s guidance and the support of many faithful friends. Michael later joined the ministry as a pastor, and the two eventually married. Together, they’ve poured themselves into this work, often sacrificing personal comfort and financial security to meet the needs of the most vulnerable.
Now, more than two decades later, they are selling everything they own to begin a new chapter in Dallas. While they will continue their vital work with Ndoto, the logistics and emotional weight of starting over in a new country—with three children—are immense. Imagine arriving with no car, no home, and not even the basics like towels or cookware.
I want to do everything I can to help ease this transition, and I invite you to join me. Would you consider making a donation to help this incredible family get on their feet as they search for an apartment and begin building a new life here? Your generosity will go directly toward helping them cover essential expenses and making this complex move a little less overwhelming.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you so much for considering how you might be part of their next chapter.
With gratitude,
Richard Ray
