**Help Save Allie No Amount Is Too Small**
Hi everyone,
We are reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my beloved parrot, Allie.
Allie is more than a pet—she’s family. She loves going outside and greeting people walking by with a loud, cheerful **“Hello!”**, followed quickly by **“Bye-bye!”** as they pass. More times than can be counted, people have stopped just to ask if she was a real parrot.
She’s incredibly smart (too smart sometimes!)—a true Houdini who learned how to remove the locks on her cage. The dogs know she’s the boss and give her space as she waddles through the house, pulling treasures from drawers, baskets, and cabinets. Some mornings, she even stages an early jailbreak just to climb onto the bed and snuggle.
Allie loves to play, sit in your lap, and she’ll always say **“want some”** when she sees you eating something she likes. She can be a little stinker too—sometimes giving a gentle pinch and then laughing about it.
A few years ago, Allie developed a small hernia that she was able to live with. Unfortunately, in the past few days, it has gotten much worse. She now needs surgery urgently. I’ve been told the cost will be **$5,500–$6,000**, whichher human simply cannot afford on my fixed income as a senior citizen.
Without this procedure, we are facing the heartbreaking possibility of having to put her down.
We are asking for help—**any amount truly makes a difference**. Even sharing this page means more than we can express. Our only wish is to give Allie the chance to continue living the happy, spirited life she loves so much.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, caring, and supporting us during this incredibly difficult time.
