To know Allie is to LOVE Allie. She has a heart of gold and is a bright light in any room she enters! She is consistently positive, uplifting and supportive, and now it’s time for us to return the favor. Allie has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and a hard journey is ahead of her. She is strong, resilient and courageous, but will need people in her corner cheering for her and praying hard for her while she’s fighting.

Over the next few weeks, there will be a lot of appointments, travel and overall hardship for the Rogers family. While we cannot remove the stress of their situation, we CAN help lift the financial burden off their shoulders. If you feel inclined to donate, we know it will be greatly appreciated! Previous Update (7/23/26)

My mama heart is heavy to share our family's recent struggles, but Allie has asked that we share her cancer diagnosis publicly.

For starters, this is a very fresh news and we have more questions than answers so if you have a question, we likely still don't have an answer.

On Friday (7/17) we took Allie for a routine eye exam because she said that she thought she needed contacts (because there was no way she wanted glasses!). There they saw a spot on the back of her eye and referred us to to a medical doctor for further examination.

Thankfully with having great friends connected to CHOA and Emory, we were able to get Allie in on Tuesday with one of the top eye tumor specialists in Georgia at the Emory Eye Clinic. We spent 4 hours there going room to room, machine to machine for imaging, measuring and ultrasounds to then finally meet with Dr. Jill Wells who confirmed that it was Ocular Choroidal Melanoma. From my own research from Dr. Google, this is a rare adult cancer with about 5 in 1 million diagnosed each year, and of that only 1% are children. Just like all cancers, the hope is that it has not spread. We have excellent insurance through Lee's company, his colleagues have been beyond great, and my Bright Path work family has been amazing. We have tons of family and friends supporting us and holding us up through this time.

What we do know is that Allie will lose most of her eye sight in her right eye. She will not lose her eye and the muscles should still all work normal so there will be no physical noticeable change from the outside. Otherwise she will be a fully functioning teenager.

If you know Allie personally, you know her energy, love for life, her laugh and silliness. She is a ray of sunshine everywhere she goes. Her personality is infectious.
