Support Allie's Fight Against Breast Cancer

My name is Allie French, I’m 26 years old, and I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy and am scheduled to have a mastectomy after completing 6 rounds of chemotherapy.

I received the news of my diagnosis during the final semester and graduation season of my doctoral program in audiology from CSU Northridge.

The news and this process came as quite the shock for me and my family. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend my white coat ceremony and commencement ceremony due to side effects from my chemotherapy. Still, I have a great support system and I am keeping a positive attitude and relying on my faith to get me through this.

Thankfully, my cancer is stage 1 and not genetic, meaning that I am less likely to experience future cancers.

Unfortunately, despite having medical insurance, the expense of my treatment has already become an overwhelming burden. I have already received medical bills for upwards of $4,000 and I still have 4 more rounds of chemo and surgery ahead.
