Support Allen's Medical Journey and Recovery
Donation protected

On Friday, January 10th, Allen suffered from a ruptured intestine that led to two emergency surgeries, septic shock, a ventilator and kidney failure. We are thankful for excellent care he received at Yokosuka Naval Hospital. When he required care that they could not provide, he was transferred to a Japanese hospital for 5 days, where his family is responsible for the entire cost of care (approximately $6,000 USD per day). After being on dialysis and for the time being he is back at Yokosuka Naval Hospital. He was hospitalized for 22 days and was discharged from the hospital yesterday, February 2nd. His wife, Florence, commuted a total of 4 hours (2 hours each way) and paid over $30 in expressway tolls to be at Allen’s bedside.
Your donation directly helps Allen and our family pay medical bills and alleviate financial stresses that the past 22 days and next months will continue to bring.
Allen is a retired U.S. Marine, GS worker on Camp Fuji, husband, father to three daughters, grandfather to three grandsons and an avid skier.

Thank you for your contribution to his medical bills and PT/OT recovery. It truly means everything to him and our family!
With Aloha,
Hillary Johnson (eldest daughter)
