Our new year has come in with a bang to say the least. Allen has been sick since before Christmas. We thought it was just the typical crud going around but it just wouldn’t go away. I took him to the ER last Tuesday and he was admitted right away with heart failure. He dropped 12 pounds of fluid in 24hrs. He was in afib so they shocked his heart and that put him back into rhythm until yesterday. Tomorrow he will be shocked again. He had no insurance, PTO, or short term disability offered at his job so needless to say we are in a bind. When he finally gets to come home he will be on multiple medications with many follow up appointments. His Dr said it will be a long time before he is able to work again. Anything helps.
