Hi everyone,
I am reaching out to help a close friend, neighbor, and absolute pillar of service, Allen. Recently, a devastating fire swept through his high-desert homestead. Within minutes of spotting the flames, Allen was barely able to escape with his life and his two loyal dogs before his cabin was completely engulfed. Moments later, shifting winds pushed the fire across his entire property, reducing his home, storage, tools, valuables, and life's resources to nothing but ash.
Allen moved to the high desert to live a simple, quiet, off-grid life, but the clock is ticking loudly. We are just a few months away from the harsh winter freezing temperatures, and he has been left with absolutely nothing but the clothes on his back.
If there is anyone who deserves our immediate support right now, it is Allen. He has spent his entire life running toward danger to save others. His lifetime of service is staggering:
A Lifelong First Responder: He began serving his community as an EMT at just 17 years old, later working as a firefighter, a career Paramedic Supervisor, a Field Training Officer, and a Paramedic Evaluator. He even served as the Chair of a county disaster subcommittee.
A Proud Veteran: He is an Honorably Discharged U.S. Army Veteran who served in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD). After his discharge, he continued his service as a Paramedic in the U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard.
An Unstoppable Volunteer: Even after becoming a disabled veteran and dealing with severe heart issues, Allen never stopped giving back. He stepped up to serve his local volunteer fire department, and today, despite his physical limitations, he still volunteers his remaining time and energy at our local food bank.
Allen is a model veteran, an exemplary human being, and the kind of person we all hope to have nearby when tragedy strikes. For decades, he has asked for little to nothing in return for his sacrifices. Now, it is our turn to be there for him.
Where the Funds Will Go:
From basic toiletries and winter clothing to shelter and a wood stove before the winter freeze, every single penny counts.
To ensure complete transparency, Allen is set up as the direct beneficiary of this campaign. All funds go directly into his account. I am simply managing the page so he can focus entirely on surviving this immediate crisis and getting back on his feet.
I will do my absolute best to provide regular updates here as we reach major milestones in helping him rebuild.
Thank you all so much for your time, your attention, and your generosity. Seeing others rally around a hero who has lost everything means more than you could ever know.
